 The 2008 Salmon Creek Block Pinot Noir has enticing aromas of cherries and strawberries with hints of forest floor and vanilla scented oak char. Flavors of intense blackberry and wild cherry offer a core that is beautifully structured with silky tannins and bright acidity. This wine is ready to drink now or it can be stored and aged for years to come. This small lot Pinot Noir (only 92 cases produced) hails from our unique vineyard adjacent to Salmon Creek, which is near the town of Freestone on the far western edge of Sonoma County. Over the centuries, Salmon Creek deposited a mix of soil and gravel which has created an ideal site for the development of Pinot Noir. |
